Mr. Popper’s Penguins Movie Review – review of the movie Mr. Popper’s Penguins starring Jim Carrey. Mr. Popper’s Penguins is rated PG and was released in 2011.
I had an opportunity to attend a screening of Mr. Popper’s Penguins with my daughter and some friends. It was a very enjoyable movie. Both my daughter and I loved it and had many “laugh out loud” moments.
The movie had a bit of a rough start for kids as it was not a very kid-friendly plot and was tough to follow along and fully understand, but once the penguins entered the scene, the movie was full of high points and plenty of humor.
Mr. Popper’s Penguins resembles Liar Liar when you look at the family dynamic of the characters and the role Jim Carrey plays. But the movie is different and entertaining. The involvement of the penguin cast has you falling in love with the black and white feathered friends. They come to life with their personalities and draw you in with their true charisma.
Mr. Popper’s Penguins will leave you feeling happy and warm inside. It’s a typical Hollywood story with a conflict, resolution, lesson learned, and happy ending.
I hope you find this Mr. Popper’s Penguins movie review helpful.
