Oakland County Foster Care Orientation – If you’re interested in learning more about becoming a foster parent for foster children in need, the Ennis Center for Children hosts in-person and virtual foster care orientation / informational meetings once a month at all 7 of their SE Michigan branches.
FREE Oakland County Foster Care Orientation Meetings
Foster Care Orientation meetings at the Ennis Center for Children are for anyone interested in learning more about how to become a licensed foster parent. The orientation is the first step towards becoming a licensed foster parent with Ennis Center for Children. Information is provided about the types of children in care, how they enter care, and the process/skills needed to become a licensed foster parent.
Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 5p-7p at each local Ennis office. These meetings are FREE to attend but RSVP is required. Attendance is also offered virtually via ZOOM on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. See local branches below for contact info.

There are more than 10,000 children in foster care in Michigan and over 200 of them are available for adoption, but do not have an identified forever family. The greatest need is for homes for teenagers, but also sibling groups of 2 or more, and children of all ages.
