Oakland County Parks Seeks Your Input

Officials at Oakland County Parks are looking for opinions from park users as to possible new improvements for Waterford Oaks Park, Catalpa Oaks Park (Southfield), and Red Oaks Park (Madison Heights) should be managed.

The following surveys deal with question about possible improvements with Catalpa Oaks County Park, Red Oaks County Park, and Waterford Oaks County Park.

SURVEY 1 – CATALPA OAKS
SURVEY 2 – RED OAKS
SURVEY 3 – WATERFORD OAKS

Surveys take 2-5 minutes to complete. Surveys must be completed by 8/5/22. The questions relate to the importance of the features of a successful park and what visitors would enjoy. This is refreshing as initially I was worried the questions were going to be more of a “we’re closing features of this park for good, what’s a cheap thing you’d like to see there in the future?” variety. I’m glad park officials are looking into a “revision” of these parks and not just close it down.

The Catalpa Oaks survey relates to features in regards to adult exercise you may want to see at the park but you’re also free to suggest your own ideas for how the park should use its resources.

The Red Oaks survey relates to possible new use for the Golf Course. Basically asking if Red Oaks Golf Course should continue operating as a golf course or if the current golf course should be converted to something else.

The Waterford Oaks survey relates to possible expansion of winter activities at the park (a possible winter sports hub?), splash pad addition to the park,

What should happen to these parks? Now is the time to voice your opinion.
