Paint Creek Trail Labor Day Bridge Walk 2023 – Mark your calendars for the annual Labor Day Bridge Walk and Run on Monday, September 4, 2023.
Walk 2023 participants can choose either a 1 mile walk or 5k run on the Paint Creek Trail. Onsite registration starts at 8a and the event begins at 9a.
As always, this is a free family event; however, this year Paint Creek Trails are asking for a suggested donation of $5 per family, to help raise funds for a bridge replacement project along the trail. Donations in the past have raised over $1,400 was raised for the Bike Lids for Kids program and other worthwhile charities. I participated the Mackinac Bridge Labor Day Walk years ago and had a great time. It was exhilarating. We decided to speed-walk it and see how quick we could do it. It was before kids, and it was easy enough to head up north at a last minute’s request by a good friend. Now, things are a bit more difficult with work, kids, etc. So, the Paint Creek walk sounds like a great option and an easy solution to continue the annual healthy walk initiative.
