For nearly the same price as a hotel room, you can get great accommodations for the Petoskey / Harbor Springs area with way more space and amenities.
I’ve been vacationing in Petoskey / Harbor Springs for decades and made the move from hotel rooms to condos a long time ago out of necessity. My daughter has severe food allergies and our vacations have to revolve around where we can find a kitchen for food prep.
Since we travel to so many different areas while we are Up North, I’ve narrowed my recommendations to the Petoskey / Harbor Springs down to two places (and threw in a 3rd) that are centrally located – Trout Creek Condominium Resort & Vacation Rentals, and Land Masters Condos – both on Pleasantview Rd in Harbor Springs nearly equidistant to Downtown Harbor Springs and Downtown Petoskey.

Petoskey Harbor Springs Area Condo Reviews – Trout Creek Condominium Resort & Vacation Rentals
Trout Creek Facts – Trout Creek offers everything from 1 bedroom / 1 bath condos all the way to 5 bedroom / 3 bath condos (over 2500 sq feet!) and everything in between. All condos include complete kitchen, washer/dryer, central air, 1 or 2 person jacuzzi tub, fireplace (either gas or wood), cable, and a balcony. Trout Creek boasts 3 pools (2 outdoor), a fitness center, various playgrounds, sport courts, on-site stocked fishing ponds, a game room. You can even stop by their courthouse to check out movies, sports and fishing equipment, and board games.
Trout Creek Condos Review – Condo units at Trout Creek vary from unit to unit in appearance. I’ve stayed in units that were very modern and I’ve also stayed in units that were somewhat dated – very clean… but dated. Trout Creek is a busy community with many of the unit owners living on-site year round. Because of the numerous family friendly features and the sheer number of renters and owners, it’s ideal for a social vacation. Kids won’t be bored easily with all the things to do, especially if they’re meeting fellow vacationers at the clubhouse, pools, game rooms, sports fields, or social nightly bonfires (seasonal). Petoskey Harbor Springs Area Condo Reviews – Land Masters Condos at Hamlet Village
Land Masters Facts – Land Masters Condos at Hamlet Village offers everything from 1 bedroom / 1 bath condos all the way up to 4 bedroom / 3 bath condos that sleep 12 & everything in between. All condos include a complete kitchen (w/utensils etc), washer, dryer, central air, 1 person “whirlpool” spa, cable. Land Masters condos boasts guest access to indoor heated pool / whirlpool, sauna, “Ski Out” access to Nubs Nob, and tennis courts. The large units feature 4-6 person hot tubs.
Land Masters Condos Review – Like Trout Creek, many Land Masters units I’ve stayed in are in need of an extensive remod. What was modern when I stayed there years ago is starting to slip by today’s standards. It’s also fair to say that there isn’t nearly as much to do for kids and families as there is down the road at Trout Creek. That said, the way Land Masters buildings are spread out, it rarely seems crowded. If you’re not into the social component of vacationing with kids, you may prefer the more private Land Masters unit. Petoskey Harbor Springs Area Condo Reviews Bottom line…
Trout Creek is the place to go if you’re bringing kids, especially with a wide spectrum of age differences (something for everyone). Land Masters is better if you prefer things quieter or simply want the amenities of large condo accommodations but want to travel a lot and use the condo as your base.
