Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants. I am 100% Italian. My parents arrived here from Italy by boat. That said, my mom is a wonderful cook. Everything at Picanos is homemade, and full of flavor and fresh ingredients (grown in our backyard organic garden). Growing up, my friends were all envious of the home cooked meals in our home.
Over the years, I developed very picky taste buds. I am not easy to please when it comes to food. I expect a lot. So, as far as Picanos is concerned, it delivers! Picanos is amazing. I have not been there in a while unfortunately, but I enjoyed it so much when I went. Even my mom was impressed with Picanos! And, my mother-in-law says she can’t find bruschetta that good anywhere else. The sauce is homemade and incredible. You can’t go wrong with any pasta dish. I have also tried different chicken dishes and all were excellent.
Picanos specializes in house made ravioli, gnocchi, lasagna, sausage, wonderful garlic rolls… On the menu, you will also find prime veal, steaks, lamb chops and fresh fish. Picanos is more high end vs. casual, so Picanos is definitely more of a date night than it is a family outing. The Picanos food is quality and the ambience is cozy.
If you’re a fan of Italian food, you owe it to yourself to try Picanos. I hope this review is helpful.
