Plato’s Closet Rochester Hills MI Review

Plato’s Closet Rochester Hills MI Review – Plato’s Closet on Walton Blvd in Rochester Hills, MI is the perfect place to buy name brand designer clothes for teens.

Unlike most moms, I’m not above shopping second-hand stores for used clothing. In fact, I enjoy it. Plato’s Closet is different from most clothing resale shops, they only deal in clothing that is designer and they only deal in fashion that is 1-year old (and in most cases less than a year old). They simply won’t purchase clothes that are older and even run clothing ID numbers to make sure the fashion is current. The prices are competitive with Salvation Army resale shops, only the quality of clothing and fashion at Plato’s Closet Rochester Hills is WAY better. They specialize in clothing for young adults and teens. Because of their target demo, they get a lot of fashionable teens reselling their clothing when the styles change because of the lure of cash for clothing.

OAKLAND COUNTY MOMS BUSINESS REVIEWS

I have one child in junior high and another going in junior high next year. Plato’s Closet is where I can find clothing by Abercrombie and Fitch, Polo, Under Armor and higher end designers for a fraction of the cost of buying it new. The kids at their school don’t know their new clothes have been pre-worn, plus… I’m able to stock on up on 5 “gently worn” Abercrombie and Fitch shirts for my son for the price of 1 new Fitch shirt I’d buy at the store.

The Plato’s Closet Rochester Hills strategy of only purchasing modern clothing means that styles skew younger but that doesn’t mean that moms (and dads) can’t shop at Plato’s. Plato’s is great for casual clothes for parents. Sure, there are some “no way I’d wear THAT at my age” fashions, but there are also plenty basics that can be bought for cheap. My husband bought a pair of $150 North Face winter boots (barely worn) for $30 and an official Detroit Red Wings full-zip hoodie for $16 that for all intents and purposes, is brand new.

I’ve heard of a lot of people in Oakland County complaining that the Salvation Army stores are raising prices for extremely dated styles and extremely poor quality. An awesome “gently worn” Abercrombie & Fitch or Under Armor shirt sells for about $6-$8 at Plato’s. You likely won’t find Abercrombie & Fitch or Under Armor AT ALL at Salvation Army.

Metro Detroit Plato’s Closet locations include Brighton, Canton, Madison Hts, Novi, Rochester Hills, and Utica. The Plato’s in Rochester Hills is located in the Trader Joe’s Plaza in the NW corner of Walton & Adams.
