We went on a Friday evening and there was a wait. Quaker Steak and Lube Sandusky will give you an estimate on your wait time, and then text you when your table is ready.
Quaker Steak and Lube, as expected, is very kid friendly family restaurant. All drinks, including water, are served with crazy straws and kids meals are served in race cars. The decor at Quaker Steak and Lube is automotive everywhere – signage, car parts, photos, etc. There’s even a partial car set up as a booth in the lobby. The kids got a kick out of the decor. There’s also a load of TV’s everywhere making it a great option for watching the big game.
Quaker Steak and Lube offers a diverse menu that includes steak burgers, wings, ribs, seafood, salads, etc. They have 25 signature sauces to choose from (also sold by the bottle) for the wings, ribs, etc…as well as for a dipping sauce. Lite menu options are available such as grilled tenderloins with no breading, tossed in the wing sauce and served with pita chips and steamed broccoli.
A little fun for the adults…the Lube tube – a tall upright tube filled with beer, with a spout on the side for the table to fill their beer glasses. It holds 100 oz. Way more fun than the traditional pitcher!
At the end of the meal, servers bring warmed hand wipes to your table which was a nice touch. Plus, they brought by loads of Twizzlers for the kids!
Quaker Steak and Lube Sandusky is situated on the lake for a nice view. Outdoor seating is available during the warmer months. Quaker Steak and Lube has Happy Hour specials and is always running daily promotions. Wi-Fi is available.
