Rata2ee Cooking Camps Summer Programs – Cooking camps for kids ages 7-11 (2nd-5th grade) throughout the entire summer at 10 convenient locations across Metro Detroit.

Rata2ee Cooking Camps Summer 2026
In this Best of 2025 Hour Detroit Summer Camp Finalist Camp, children learn healthy cooking skills, through fun and play, without the Chef Gordon Ramsey yelling! Each day of this 1-week camp, kids will make and eat a morning snack, get in some fun exercise activities, cook and eat a 3-course meal, learn basic gardening, play nutrition games, and end their day with yoga. Rata2ee Cooking Camps teaches cutting techniques (with kid-safe knives), weights and measures, stove and kitchen safety, and sanitation. Kids also learn where food comes from and what makes a healthy plate. This well-rounded camp takes a holistic approach to healthy living. Each day starts and ends with a theme word that promotes character-building. The best part? No more parents needing to pack lunches or snacks!

Camps are taught by teachers and professionals who already work within local schools. As part of the registration process, parents must sign a liability waiver for any child to attend. A week before the camp starts, an email with important information (like what to wear, what is ok and not ok to bring to the classroom, drop off and pick up information) will be sent. All recipes are nut free; however, all allergies must be listed on the registration/waiver form and will be followed up with a discussion with Tonia Carsten prior to the session starting (please note, we can no longer accommodate for gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free diets, as there is too high of a risk of cross-contamination). Sessions are limited, so sign up NOW to get the week you want with your friends!
Registration for Rata2ee Cooking Camps is easy, simply follow the links below. After registration is completed, you must complete a Rata2ee waiver form at https://bit.ly/Rata2eeCookingClassesAndCamps which allows for your child to stand at a stove and to use a knife. This is also where you make Rata2ee aware of any food allergies. These cooking camps for kids almost always sell out, often before March, so sign up now!
