Red Oaks Nature Center offers class field trips that feature nature interpretive programs, live animal exhibits, and more. The inside of the Nature Center has plenty of interactive displays and live animals. All tanks and cages are clean and spacious. The building houses large room perfect for birthday parties, field trips, and meetings. The immediate grounds surrounding the nature center are dotted with waterfalls and plenty of places to take in the sights.
Red Oaks Nature Center is more than a fun, educational place for kids field trips. It has a trail system that offers a Forest Trail, Sensory trail, and Habitat trail. The nearly 1/4 mile-long sensory trail is paved and makes great use of tight spaces with plenty of curvey bends, benches, and marked pointes of interest. The Sensory Trail includes easy access to vernal pond observation decks. The trail also connects at various points with the beautiful Forest Trail and scenic Habitat trail. Expect to see furry creatures along all the trails. During my visit, I spotted 3 deer (see pics).
Red Oaks Nature Center also hosts (WILD) birthday parties for kids (Info).
