Rosie’s Park Madison Hts review, pics, and info. Rosie’s Park in Madison Hts is situated on over 30 acres of land in the heart of a subdivision. You can access Rosie’s Park through E Farnum Ave off of John R Rd between 11 Mile Rd & 12 Mile Rd OR from Hales street off of E 11 Mile Rd between Dequindre and John R Rd. Rosie’s Park is maintained by the City of Madison Heights.
Rosie’s Park is a cozy neighborhood park that has many features that make it unique to many larger parks in Oakland County. In addition to the usual baseball fields, basketball courts, picnic tables and other “typical” neighborhood park amenities… Rosie’s Park boasts a dirt BMX track, half-pipe for bikes & boards, and a concession stand complete with indoor restroom facilities (seasonal). There are 2 play structures with several benches and picnic tables surrounding them to watch the kids from while they play. The playground equipment and some of the other attractions at Rosie’s are getting a little dated compared to the modern play structures in other parks but are still safe and suitable.
The City of Madison Hts always seems to take the opportunity to upgrade the park. Recent additions have included the addition of a 9-hole disc golf course and the use of field lights on the ice skating / inline skating rink.

In addition to the sports & rec activities for kids, Rosie’s Park features a very attractive 1-mile in length walking/hiking trail (Madison Woods Nature Trail) that tours a short jaunt through scenic, forest areas of the park. There are plenty of doggy waste bags and trash bins available for pooch friends. Rosie’s Park is bustling with activity on Spring & Summer evenings during youth baseball season but fun can be had in the Wintertime too as the inline skating rink is converted to an ice skating rink.
