Samsung Galaxy Tab Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab Review – review and features of the Galaxy Tab tablet by Samsung. The Tab is similar to the iPad, but smaller. It’s a powerful piece that packs a punch.

I recently had the opportunity to review the Samsung Galaxy Tab by Verizon. For this Samsung Galaxy Tab Review, I was finally able to pry it out of my kids’ hands long enough to get acquainted with it.

The 7-inch screen has a vibrant, high quality display. The Samsung Galaxy Tab runs on the Android 2.2. In addition to text, picture and video messaging, the Samsung Galaxy Tab also features V CAST Apps.

There’s no phone function so you’ll still need your cell. But for getting online while away from your computer the Samsung Galaxy Tab is very convenient. Plus it has a handy camera and video cam. Its size also makes it easy to use the touch screen without making too many mistakes. It’s not compact enough to necessarily pick up and hold while typing but it works nicely laying down flat on a table.

If you can handle all the gadgets (cell, computer, tab) and keeping it all organized, Samsung Galaxy Tab is worth it. And the kids love it too. They were on YouTube and basically using the Samsung Galaxy Tab as a mini tv to watch their favorite clips. If you’re in the market to buy your kids a computer for the purpose of online use and research, this might be an attractive option if you are good with the monthly fees (you may be in for a two-year contract and a commitment to monthly charges).

My kids loved the access to the online features as well as the camera and video cam which they love goofing around with. I never did show them that the tab actually has two cameras (they may have never put it down).

Above the screen you have a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera, which can be used for self-portrait photos or video chat (note: no video chat software comes preinstalled). On the back, there is a 3-megapixel camera with flash.

Using the Galaxy Tab, I still miss the needed software that is on my computer and am uncertain if I necessarily need to add it to my mix of tech gadgets. But overall it’s fun and convenient. I hope this Samsung Galaxy Tab review helps.
