SEA LIFE Great Lakes Crossing Pics
Sea Life Great Lakes Crossing Review
There’s an educational experience with each of the exhibits with reading displays as well as touch screens with information on each of the species. The floors are wooden plank style to give visitors the feel that they’re walking along a dock.
I was invited to visit a sneak preview of the SEA LIFE Aquarium in Auburn Hills before it opened to the public on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 12 noon.
Sea Life boasts a total of more than 5,000 creatures in 150,000 gallons of water including sharks, stingrays, jellyfish and sea horses. Visitors can walk through the Sea Life Aquarium and view all the different sea creatures in their colorful exhibits. Some of the exhibits are interactive such as a touch pool where visitors can gently touch starfish and pick up hermit crabs. The Sea Life Aquarium at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets also has viewing tunnels and attractive displays to entertain the kids.
There is also a children’s play area and gift shop at the end of the tour.
Once you’ve purchased your ticket, you can visit the Sea Life Aquarium at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets all day, coming and going as you need to. At the end of the tour, there is even a door that takes you back to the start so you can walk through it again.
There are 7 Sea Life locations in the country, but Sea Life Great Lakes Crossing is the first Sea Life Aquarium in Michigan.

Ouch on the price. Guess I will be taking the kids to Bass Pro ;)
The price does seem a little high.
Good luck with those prices!
They had me until I reached the bottom and saw the price . . . . .
Way too expensive….hope it doesn’t turn out like Autoworld
Thanks for the pics! My daughter and I loved them! I think the price is high, but it’s like Henry Ford and the zoo. I think they price it high so people buy memberships.
Nobody is paying those prices. Idiots.
Sorry price won’t keep me coming but maybe tourist is what they are going for
Top expensive for this area for sure..good luck with that…
Thats a damn shame how expensive that is.
If there arent any sea horses, then you will not be getting any of my money!
Price is a bit high!
I agree way too pricey! It is not nearly as big as the one in Chicago either. Need to have similiar prices as the zoo.
We saw a sea life aquarium in Omaha Nebraska it was awesome for all ages. But the price was a lot less n included the zoo too.
Over $60 for a family of 3 (2 kids). How can people afford this plus the gas to drive and food and whatever else comes with the trip. MY kids and I wanted to go but NOT WITH HOW HIGH IT COSTS anyway to rob money from people.
Unbelievably over priced, in our economy. yeeesh
The prices threw me off way to high!!!
Of all places why Great Lakes Crossing it’s a mall?? They should have incorporated the building with the Detroit Zoo instead that makes more sense, plus the cost of admission is way too high, the memberships are ridiculous the average person cannot afford the gas or admission to get there stupid stupid idea. Great for the zoo thou.
I was interested until I saw the price. Seriously? ????
Yeah those prices are steep
You realize it’s bigger than the shedd aquarium in Chicago and the shedds closer to 30 a ticket. #theyll give group rates to schools and etc, and be fine.
Thats way too expensive
Can’t wait to take my two year old.
Has anyone complaining about the price ever been to one of these? The ones that are this big are all this expensive. We went to one in Chattanooga TN that was $30 for each adult, it was beautiful and we had a great time. You can buy prepaid tix now for 17.95, I think…. I am amazed what people will pay to eat at McDonalds or go to a movie but you can stay here all day for under $20 and complaint city….

There is the link to get the pre-opening prices.
Hey people how bout instead of shooting it down right away you wait and see how it turns out? I bet it’s a better deal than you think. Something like this doesn’t come around your area and you immediately snub it out. You talk about how bad the economy is but when you don’t give local places business it will be a crappy economy. Looking online at other aquarium prices and comparing this isn’t that bad, and don’t compare it to a zoo. It’s an aquarium. Rant over.
Way to expensive! 80 bucks for 4 plus food and souvenirs :-(
The zoo is cheaper! And you get to see more animals! Very cool looking though.
I was just looking at all the great pics like oh my kids are going to love this well that was until I got to the bottom and seen their pricing…..that is absolutely rediculous n not worth it!!!!
OMG those prices are absolutely outrageous…. For me and my kids it would cost me about $80 to go n that’s not counting gas or anything else. It looks really cool but just not worth it!!!
I’m sure it’s very very expensive to uphold one of these places…. It isn’t something you’d just be able to wake up and say let’s go I’d do it for a special occasion of a birthday maybe… Don’t tell me none ya spent 80 or more bucks on something ya didn’t need before let’s get real a one time treat for something beautiful isn’t gonna hurt ya don’t like the prices that much don’t go… I can hardly afford shampoo but I can’t wait to take my son might have to wait a few months to put some money aside but it’ll be worth it.
Also children under three are free and you get a discount for buying online not much but a few bucks always helps.
You guys act like it was cheap to make this aquarium. Not everything in life can be free or cheap. Seriously.
lol seaworld is cheaper hahahahaha
Sounded fun but WAY to much to bring kids too. I have 5 kids all under age 12. Would cost me $140 to get in the door. That’s ridiculous! This place couldn’t be more then an hour worth of a visit so the price needs to come down. A place like this should be cheaper to get more people in rather then just a couple rich people.
