The playscape is the most popular feature of Shiawassee Park because of the vast size, covered seating areas, and easily-accessible restrooms.
Pet owners are always encouraged to bring their dogs to Shiawassee Park. With complementary litter bags and an area to splash in shallow parts of the Rouge River, Shiawassee Park is the closest thing to a dog park that you’ll find in the downtown Farmington area.
The winding paths throughout the park will offer you a good view of the different amenities in only about a 10-15 minute walk. Nice scenery accompanies you along each step as you wind along and across the Rouge River.
After a stroll through the park, walk up the back steps and over the river into downtown Farmington to enjoy a variety of different restaurants and stores.
