Green Pasta – If you’re looking to incorporate green into your St Patrick’s Day meals, try this DIY green pasta. Simply make fresh pasta dough with the addition of green food coloring and mold it into any pasta shape you’d like. This is a great project to teach your kids how to make pasta and have fun with it. For a long, spiral design, twist the evenly cut up pasta dough around a stick and repeat. If you’re a teacher, this is a great way to incorporate fun in the classroom on St Patrick’s Day.
Glow in the Dark Green Roses – Here’s a St Patrick’s Day Fun for Kids project with a little STEM mixed in – no pun intended. Fill water glasses with water and add green highlighter fluid to the water. After the color is mixed into the water, place white flowers into the glasses. In minutes, the flowers will be transformed into vibrant, green flowers. Teachers, try to have students guess how long it will take for the white flowers to turn a pretty shade of green… or how if they will begin with light green and bolden up to dark green.

How to Make Green Cookie Frosting for Four Leave Clover Cookies
Green Cookie Frosting Ingredients
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 2 teaspoons milk
- 2 teaspoons light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- green food coloring
Green Cookie Frosting Directions
- In a small bowl, stir together confectioners’ sugar and milk until smooth.
- Beat in corn syrup and almond extract until icing is smooth and glossy. If icing is too thick, add more corn syrup.
- Divide into separate bowls, and add food colorings to each to desired intensity.
- Dip cookies, or paint them with a brush or butter knife.
