A friend of mine told me about the Boudoir Loft, a photography studio that takes boudoir style photos. I immediately thought this is a great solution for when you just don’t know what to get your guy for his birthday, Christmas, anniversary, etc. What guy wouldn’t love to see his girl looking beautiful in a sexy picture made just for him?
My initial review of Boudoir Loft took place at their Downtown Rochester Location. Since then, they’ve moved to Clarkston and have studio shoots in Northern Michigan. You can also book them to shoot wherever you want. I think it’s time for a new photoshoot!
I spoke with Kim, the owner, and instantly felt assured that Boudoir Loft is a professional operation. Female photographers that are there to help the ladies feel not only comfortable, but look like a sexy super model! I asked Kim if I could try out her services and Boudoir Loft and review about them on OCM. She loved the idea and invited me to come out recently.

Boudoir Loft Clarkston – What to Expect
When I arrived for my shoot, I went to Inkceptions (a make-up and hair/Glamour Shots studio under the same ownership as the Boudoir Loft) for the hair and makeup session. It was a bright and fun suite. I had a great time chatting it up with Kim (photographer and owner) and Krisz (makeup and hair stylist). I really liked how Krisz did my hair and makeup. I think there is a special way to do makeup when you are going to be photographed and she did a great job. And, it suited the theme of the photo session as well. In a nutshell, it had more of a sultry look vs. an every day look. I don’t even wear makeup except for special occasions, so I was feeling pretty good about myself. Plus, Kim and Krisz are full of compliments so the experience has you feeling like a supermodel. Krisz then styled my hair so it was full and had lots of body. I’m a fan of 80’s big hair, so I appreciated the full look.
Once they completed my “makeover,” we went to the Boudoir Loft photo studio, a perfect location for the lingerie photos.

Kim is a pro at this. No matter what you decide to wear (or not wear) for your shoot, she will have you feeling completely comfortable and completely beautiful. She is quick and has you moving from pose to pose seamlessly. Her camera work is amazing. She can make you look way better than expected. I’m very critical of how I look in pictures, but I love how my pics came out. And, my husband treasures them to this day.
I really enjoyed my Boudoir Loft shoot and I want to thank Kim for the experience. And I want to help anyone out there who thinks she’d be too nervous to try this. All I can say is that if you’re wavering, just go for it and do whatever you feel comfortable doing. Boudoir Loft is a classy, elegant, and very professional. Plus, you will leave feeling beautiful and confident, inside and out, and your man will thank you for it.
