The Hills Bar and Grille Rochester Hills CLOSED

The Hills Bar and Grille Rochester Hills CLOSED – The Hills Bar and Grille in Rochester Hills located at the corner of N Rochester Rd & Tienken Rd is officially closed for business according to the Around Rochester facebook page.

I’m going to miss the affordable family menu and great drinks specials. The Hills Bar and Grille was a “go-to” place for my husband for summer late night drinks on the patio.

That Papa Joe’s plaza is a restaurant graveyard (Los Locos, Luca’s Chophouse). I’m sure the constant construction on Rochester Road and Tienken the past few years didn’t help any. Also, Bar Louie (kitty-corner from Hills) seemed to be MUCH more popular. RIP The Hills Bar and Grill Rochester Hills.

Here’s my Hills Bar and Grille Rochester Hills review and pics from 2012….

The Hills Bar and Grille has an outdoor patio for those who like to dine outdoors, and a cross between a “fun and fine” indoor atmosphere. The Hills Bar and Grille has 30-foot ceilings that meet up with the ceiling of the second floor bar area. There are plenty of flat screen TV’s for game days (30), and a giant High Definition projection screen – the largest in Oakland County. The Hills Bar and Grille also offers a private mezzanine for private parties.

The Hills Bar and Grille serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Hills Bar and Grille is family friendly and has a selection of eight different menu items for kids, including fried fish, pizza, grilled chicken, mini cheeseburgers and more. The average price for the kids menu at The Hills Bar and Grille is $5 and includes a side dish.

The menu at The Hills Bar and Grille is widespread with different types of food including its own signature items such as Fried, Fish, Homestyle Pot Roast, and Peidmontese Meatloaf. If you’re not familiar with Piedmontese beef, in a nutshell, it’s more lean and tender than typical beef and comes from cattle raised in Northern Italy. The Hills Bar and Grille also offers a Piedmontese Burger, which is one I definitely would go back for. My burger was super juicy and had a great grill taste. My husband tried the 8″ pizza (build your own for $8) and we weren’t as thrilled with his choice, which leaned more towards a “gourmet” generic pizza that we would find in our grocer’s freezer aisle. Breakfast selections are reasonably priced and lunch items include wraps, burgers, stir fry’s, pizza, salads, sandwiches and more.

The Hills Bar and Grille offers an upscale nightlife scene with vast selections of wine and martinis. The Hills Bar and Grille has Happy Hour every day from 3p-6p, and also has daily drink specials as well as daily menu specials. If you’re looking for family fun dining, try the Wednesday Dining special at The Hills Bar and Grille where kids eat for $2 and all Fajitas are priced at $10. Other weekly specials include Tuesday – $6 for a 1/2 pound burger, fries and a pint of beer or half off wine all day, Thursday – $10 half rack of St. Louis ribs…

The Hills Bar and Grille also offers The Hills Rewards Club. With the Rewards Club, you can earn dining credits during each visit to The Hills. After you spend $150, you get $15 in dining credit or to use during your next visit.
