Rickey Henderson Field
This gorgeous stadium is home to Oakland Athletics. The owners named the place after Rickey Henderson: legendary former A’s left fielder inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Good news for the fans of A’s: the Coliseum will get a fresh new start with no Covid limitations for the rest of the season. And the biggest bonus for family fun is a reopening of Championship Plaza, The Treehouse, the A’s Stomping Ground, and the Shibe Park Tavern.

Mosswood Park & Recreation Center
There was once a zoo here, but lately, there are many human-friendly amenities: a recreation centre, a dog run, a playground, an amphitheatre, tennis courts, community gardens, basketball courts, a ball field, and much open green space with many trees and shade to spare. On any given day, you’ll see different folks hanging out and enjoying the park.

The park has been around for over 100 years. It is an example of a relic of the past that continues to be positive and constructive today.

Oakland Arena
This arena was a fine place to observe an NBA basketball as of June 2019. It’s one among the previous generation of indoor arenas (constructed in 1966, renovated later), so one doesn’t feel as if luxury boxes monopolize space when attending events here. The intimate seating pattern means you never feel a great distance from whatever is playing center stage. This intimacy alongside the friendly house staff provided warm confines for the Golden State Warriors and their loyal fans.

The Warriors have a balanced team and might get a chance to win a championship. Bookmaker operators, such as Betsafe, with review available HERE, accept bets on the GSW. Fans surely hope that they can celebrate success at the Oakland arena.

You can also attend some fantastic shows here, which make up for the expensive parking. Shawn Mendes, Weezer, Michael Buble, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden: every show is incredible and memorable.

Lakeside Park (666 Bellevue Ave)
A great park right within the middle of the town, which you can still enjoy while staying in your car. 2 dollars to get in if you’re driving, which is cheaper than the parking meters. Many grassy areas are where kids play, and it’s maintained well.

Perfect for spending a part of a day. Stroll along the lake, sit on the grass, and observe the flowers. The gardens are clustered with different sorts of plants and flowers. There also are pretty fountains that add peaceful sounds. Visit the Bonsai Garden also which is nestled within the park.

Grizzly Peak
For the most outstanding views of San Francisco and SF Bay, Grizzly Peak is the best place to travel. Located high in Berkeley Hills, you’ll get to Grizzly Peak from all directions, but the most straightforward way could be to approach from the side of the UC Campus on Stadium Rim Rd. which becomes Canyon Rd.

About half thanks to Grizzly Peak, you’ll stop and visit the UC Berkeley Arboretum (paid parking). The road to it is exceptionally curvy so take care.

The best views are either early within the morning or during sunset on a transparent or near clear day. Don’t bother if it is foggy because the road is slippery, and visibility is often reduced to 5 feet.
