Topgolf Auburn Hills Review

Topgolf Auburn Hills review, pics, hours, and menu info. Topgolf is located at Great Lakes Crossing Drive off of I-75, in fact you can see the huge Topgolf location from the freeway.

This Topgolf location is a family entertainment facility that combines dining, bowling, darts, and of course… golf. Basically, it is a driving range set-up, but with targets. You choose among several different games and aim at the targets for points. There are 102 bays total among three levels. Guests may bring their own clubs, or use the free clubs provided by Topgolf, available at each bay.

UPDATE 8/16/20 – Top Golf Auburn Hills is safely OPEN (masks required with safe social distancing in-play) with the following summer specials – Unlimited Play Fun Pass, Mon-Fri until noon = $15 Unlimited Game Play, All-Day Tuesday Half-Price Game Play, and more

Topgolf Auburn Hills Pics

The Topgolf Great Lakes Crossing / Auburn Hills location opened in December of 2018 and has been a huge hit. We went on a Friday at noon and it was pretty full. You can play year-round as the course itself is heated to melt the snow so you can see the greens and targets. Additionally, the bays are each heated so you don’t get cold while playing. Each bay has its own temperature gauge so you can make it as warm as you need.

There are nine different games to choose from. The standard game allows for you to compete by shooting for the targets…the further shots earn more points. There’s also a short game that has chip targets, a scramble option, a Quick 9 where accuracy is key, and more.

OAKLAND COUNTY MOMS RESTAURANT REVIEWS

I went with my kids and we played the signature game, Topgolf. Topgolf is a blast whether you’re a frequent golfer or a beginner. My daughter had never swung a club before and really enjoyed it. The bays are very high-tech…you wave your club over the dispenser and a ball comes out. Each ball has a microchip so it’s landing location is detected and scored. The electronic scoreboard automatically keeps track of the game.

Of the 102 bays, all have nice seating areas for spectators…couches, high top tables, as well as enclosed, more private VIP bays that are available for use.

Topgolf Restaurant / Bar Review

Topgolf Auburn Hills also has a full restaurant/bar. You can dine in (and not even golf). Or, you can choose to place an order right from your golf bay and enjoy food and drinks while your party plays. The restaurant offers apps, wings, sliders, flatbreads, burgers, salads, and sandwiches, as well as a full bar – there’s even a drink that is served in a mini plastic lit up golf bag.

This location has spaces available to reserve for large meetings and parties for 100 or 200 people. When not playing golf, guests may also enjoy Fusbol, pool tables, corn hole, and shuffle board. The upper level at Topgolf has a terrace with tables that is open seasonally. There is also a DJ on Friday nights. At Topgolf, there are over 200 TV’s all throughout. There are many at the restaurant and there are also TV’s at the bays.

Yes, Topgolf can get busy at times, but they take your number and text you when your bay is ready. You don’t need to wait at the facility…e.g. you can head out to Great Lakes Crossing Outlets and shop while you wait for the text to come through.
