Trader Joes Organic Corn Chips Review – Trader Joes Organic Corn Chip Dippers is the Trader Joe’s version of Fritos. The Trader Joes Organic Corn Chip Dippers compare nicely to Frito Lay’s Fritos.
Here are some similarities and differences I noticed:
TRADER JOES CORN CHIPS VS FRITOS
Trader Joes Organic Corn Chip Dippers have the same shape as Fritos but the corn chips are larger in size than the Fritos brand. I liked the size difference because I can use the Trader Joe’s Organic Corn Chip Dippers to scoop my favorite guacamole and salsas easier than I could with Fritos.
The Trader Joe’s Organic Corn Chip Dippers are similar in taste to Fritos, but a bit better and with a slightly different texture. I find Fritos to be more dense and crunchy where as the Trader Joe’s Organic Corn Chip Dippers are still very crispy, but more airy and flaky.
TRADER JOES ORGANIC CORN CHIPS NUTRITIONAL INFO
The nutritional information for both snack items are pretty similar. For Trader Joe’s Organic Corn Chip Dippers, you will get 10g fat per 1 oz. serving, no trans fat, 3.5 g Polyunsaturated Fat and 5g of Monounsaturated Fat. The ingredients are simple – organic corn, organic sunflower oil, sea salt. With Fritos (original flavor), you will get 10g fat per 1 oz. serving, no trans fat, and 1.5 g Saturated Fat. The ingredients are also simple – corn, corn oil, and salt.
It’s nice to see there are no preservatives in either the Trader Joes Organic Corn Chip Dippers or the Fritos. However, I’d opt for the Trader Joe’s Organic Corn Chip Dippers for the organic ingredients and the healthier fats, as well as the slight advantage in taste and size.
