Viking Bags Motorcycle Saddlebags Review – Saddlebags that fit a Yamaha Bolt motorcycle. Review, pics, and installation info for a Yamaha Bolt saddlebag that’s easy to install.
I upgraded my motorcycle recently to something more comfortable for longer rides and road trips. I traded my Yamaha V-Star for a Yamaha Bolt.
Viking Bags Motorcycle Saddlebags Review
As you may know, it’s fairly easy finding accessories for a Yamaha Bolt… but Bolt owners are usually left with only 1 or 2 choices for saddlebags, handle bars, grips, etc. Plenty of options for exhaust, but not very many for trinkets and cosmetic upgrages.
METRO DETROIT BASIC RIDER MOTORCYCLE CLASSES REVIEW
I have made many modifications since purchasing my Yamaha Bolt, but have been stuck on finding the right saddlebags. I tried getting a sissy bar bag, but I can’t fit much more in there than my wallet, phone, keys, and a bottle of water. I had to use my husband’s bag for the extra shirt or change of shoes that I wanted to bring on our rides.
Viking Saddlebags for a Yamaha Bolt
Viking reached out to me to see if I wanted to try out one of their products. It just so happens that Viking have one of the only saddlebags that fit the Yamaha Bolt, so I happily agreed. And, I love them! These bags are attractive, sturdy, high quality, spacious, and perfect for my bike. I am so happy that Viking had these available for my Bolt. I can’t wait to get my bike out of storage and get these on right away. It’s going to be a great season.
UPDATE: I thought the winter would never end. I finally got the saddlebags installed and they look great! The style really compliments the look of my bike well. Anything larger and I think it would have looked awkward. I’m happy with the amount of storage space I’m gaining. And, I like that the saddlebags have locks. These saddlebags are definitely top quality saddlebags. Now, it’s time to start planning some longer road trips.
I have never installed installed saddlebags before so I took my Yamaha Bolt to a mechanic. Saddlebag installation can be difficult and I was warned the process “could take hours” which would be expensive. Thankfully, these were easy to install. My mechanic told me the only hitch in the process was that a long bolt was needed instead of the short bolt that was included. Other than that, he said the Viking Bags Saddle bags for the Yamaha Bolt were very easy to install.
Other Viking Saddlebags Products
From all the modifications I’ve done, I’ve visited the Viking site for other items such as Sissy Bars and Handlebars. I’m excited to be working with Viking to complete my bike’s modifications.
Viking Bags also has sister companies Elite Sports and Born Tough…nothing to do with motorcycles, but worth checking out.
