Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Review
Waterford Oaks Wave Pool is an affordable trip conveniently located only minutes from M-59 in Waterford, MI. I took my niece to Waterford Oaks on a weekday and she and I both had a great time.
The park is located within the spacious Waterford Oaks park and is loaded with fun activities for the kids. Also located within the park are Paradise Peninsula Playscape and a BMX Track.
Waterford Oaks Waterpark is now called Waterford Oaks Wave Pool as many of the facility’s “water park features” have been removed – notably the waterslide & family raft ride. The HEATED wave pool remains and so does the interactive kiddie splash pad area.
Everyone seems to enjoy the massive wave pool (tubes are provided by the park). The Waterford Oaks wave pool is a blast for kids. When the bell rings, the water goes from calm to huge waves in a matter of seconds. The Waterford Oaks wave pool is challenging for young swimmers. Make sure the kids have their safety vests or water wings on when the bell rings if they’re not strong swimmers.
The park featured plenty of area for activities and events in covered areas. Even when Waterford Oaks Wave Pool is busy, there still seems to be enough room to stretch out.

Waterford Wave Pool at Waterford Oaks Opening Day 2024 is June 8
2024 SEASON UPDATE – PLEASE NOTE – Due to a mechanical failure, the Children’s Water Playground at Waterford Oaks Wave Pool is currently not in operation. Guests are welcome to enjoy the wave pool. Fees have been reduced accordingly. Children ages 0-1 years old will continue to be free with a paid adult admission.
Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Admission Prices
- Saturdays / Sundays / Holidays – $15 or $12 for Oakland County residents
- Thursdays / Fridays – $10
- Children under 2 are FREE with paid adult admission
Guests are encouraged to purchase (Red Oaks) waterpark and (Waterford Oaks) wave pool tickets online at OaklandCountyParks.com up to three days prior to day of visit. Tickets can also be purchased on site during regular hours. It is recommended that guests check ticket availability for specific days before coming out to the waterpark or wave pool, as it’s likely many days will sell out in advance.
