About Camp Ohiyesa – Since 1918, Camp Ohiyesa has provided quality programs in a caring, family environment. At Ohiyesa, there are many challenging opportunities for growth, joy and discovery in a non-competitive and highly supervised atmosphere. The program takes place on Ohiyesa’s beautiful facility, encompassing 300 acres of lake, woods and fields in northwest Oakland County. This natural, forested setting on Fish Lake is convenient, though rustic enough to provide kids with an authentic camp experience. Day Camp programs begin at age 4 and Overnight Camps begin at age 7.

Overnight and Day Camps at Camp Ohiyesa feature horseback riding, zip-lining, archery, a ropes course, swimming, canoeing, sports, a petting farm, Campfire circle, arts and crafts. The location features 300 acres, with camp cabins and a lakeside Dining Hall where meals are served daily. YMCA Camp Ohiyesa is an ACA accredited, licensed summer camp.

For kids, spending time outdoors with positive role models and peers is crucial for a healthy youth development journey. Camp brings laughter, friendships, freedom from screens, improved mental health, the perspective of living in a community, increased appreciation for nature, and so much more. That’s why Camp Ohiyesa has spent months preparing in every way possible to ensure camp is safe AND fun for every child this year.

Camp Cost – $269 per week for Day Camp (lunch included) or $659 per week for Overnight Camp (early discounts available)
Camp Description – One of the great opportunities of growing up: Summer Camp! Every child should experience the joys of canoeing under an open sky, telling stories around a campfire, and making lifelong friends. Camp Ohiyesa has created lifelong friendships and memories for over 100 years, under the careful guidance of responsible camp counselors. At camp, children  Located on the shores of Fish Lake surrounded by lush forests, trails and fields. Conveniently located an hour from downtown Detroit, with six daily bussing locations: Birmingham, Novi, Milford, White Lake, Howell and Brighton.
