Creamy Mango Sorbet Recipe – Here is a refreshing summertime recipe that is sure to be tasty on a hot day and it’s a fun recipe for kids to make. It’s a creamy and refreshing mango sorbet. Best yet, you don’t need an ice cream maker to make it.
We’ve been looking for a new recipe to add to our FUN SUMMER RECIPES FOR KIDS page from our friends at TheSoul Publishing and this sorbet recipe fits the bill. It’s cool, refreshing, and simple and fun to make. I love to use the summer months to teach the kids how to make their own cool, fun treats. It’s a good stepping stone in to helping them get used to the kitchen when they get older (and stop leaning on me so much)!
Creamy Mango Sorbet Recipe
Creamy Mango Sorbet Recipe Ingredients
- 2 mangos – peeled, seeded, and cubed
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup cream
- 1 cup ice
Sorbet Recipe Directions
1. Place cubed mangos, sugar, cream, and ice into a blender; puree until smooth.
2. Pour mixture into a large resealable plastic freezer bag. Seal, and freeze for 45 minutes to an hour. Move the contents around in the bag every 15 minutes while freezing until it’s the perfect texture for serving.
We enjoy making other flavors of sorbet too. If you can master the mango, it’s easy to step up to strawberry, watermelon, orange, lemon, lime, raspberry, or even pineapple. Watermelon sorbet is a little tricky because of the unpredictable consistency of the fruit. Mango, strawberry, lemon, and lime sorbets are easiest.
We hope you enjoy this Creamy Mango Sorbet Recipe.
