Kensington Metropark Snacks with Santa
Kensington Metropark Snacks with Santa – (810-227-8910, metroparks.com). A holiday season tradition at the Farm. Each visit includes a horse-drawn hayride or sleigh ride (weather dependent on which is available), a holiday sing-a-long, (complete with cozy blankets, song sheets, and jingle bells), snacks, (fruit, cookies, juice, hot cocoa, and coffee), and most importantly, a visit with Santa by the Christmas Tree. All ages. $12 per person. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 810-227-8910. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. Milford MLK March
Milford MLK March on Main Street at Prospect Hill Shopping Center. Grab your family and friends and head downtown to join in for the 19th annual March on Main Street in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Lineup begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Prospect Hill Shopping Center parking lot. The march begins at 1p and will conclude at the SHAC / River’s Edge Market. Hosted by Huron Valley MLK Day.

Riley Park Ice Rink Glow Skate
Riley Park Ice Rink Glow Skate – Riley Park Ice Skating Rink Special Event. Riley Park ice rink is open daily, weather permitting. Hours are daily from 10a-10p. Fun dance music with special disco lighting. $5 per person. The rink does not have rental skates, but there are of skates available for skaters to borrow. Bundle up and enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience. Around the Nature Center, a variety of winter songbirds will eagerly fly to your hand for seeds. Learn how to identify the birds you might feed, and how to properly feed songbirds in the park. Then take a short, guided walk along a mixed gravel path to meet your new feathered friends. Seed provided. Bring your camera. Lightly colored gloves or mittens are recommended for best results. This entire program is outdoors so dress warmly.
