Oakland County Moms Calendar of Metro Detroit Summer Events
Clinton Twp Fireworks – at 6p (fireworks start at 10p). Preshow fun (fun for kids, live music) begins at 6p. Food vendors available on-site. Shuttle service and additional parking available at Erie Elementary, 9th Grade Center and St Paul of Tarsus Church. For people with loved ones interred at Resurrection Cemetery, the cemetery is extending hours on 7/4 & 7/5 to allow for visitors to share the 7/5 fireworks with their loved one. Hockey Mentors for Special Olympians – Hockey Mentors offers an afternoon of free hockey and ice skating for individuals with any type of special needs, whether that is cognitive, physical or emotional, their family and caregivers. The family friendly event, taking place in two of the Troy Sports Center rinks, includes skate rental, hockey equipment, lunch, t-shirt for those skating and a jersey for guests trying out hockey. Blake’s Lyon Township Fall Kick-off Celebration – Free Funland admission from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (jumping pillows, John Deere Speedway, Amish play structures, Mr. Bones Outhouse, Hillbilly Wagon, and animal petting farm. Live music, food trucks, cider garden. $1 from every dozen donuts and u-pick apple bags will be donated to South Lyon based charity Active Faith

Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll – Celebrate Valentines Day with a candle-lit hike through the trails of Heritage Park. Share your love of nature as you discover the courtship and mating behaviors of native animals. Complete the evening with a warm drink and sweet treats at the Nature Center. Ages 18+.
