Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll – Celebrate Valentines Day with a candle-lit hike through the trails of Heritage Park. Share your love of nature as you discover the courtship and mating behaviors of native animals. Complete the evening with a warm drink and sweet treats at the Nature Center. Ages 18+. Duck Lake Pines Park Egg Hunt – a Huron Valley Egg Hunt. Join the Easter Bunny for photos, face painting, goodie bags and more Easter fun. Bring your camera. American Legion Post 216 (510 W Commerce, St. Milford, MI)
Three ceremonies conducted by Highland VFW Post 9914. NOTE – Ceremonies are very brief. Those planning on attending should arrive at the locations well before the scheduled start times. 8a at Highland Cemetery, 8:30a at Highland Veterans Memorial Park, and 9a at West Highland Cemetery. Parade starts at 11a at 510 W Commerce, St. Milford, MI. For more info, visit highlandtwp.net.
Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade
Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade – 11a (lineup) / Parade at 11:30a at Sylvan Lake City Hall and Memorial Park.
The Parade will begin at 11:30a at City Hall and end at Memorial Park with a brief ceremony. Kids are welcome to decorate their bikes and participate in the parade. Veterans that wish to participate are asked to contact Jim Smith at 248-904-9085 to be recognized at Memorial Park ceremony. Kids can begin decorating their bikes for the bike parade (with supplies provided) at City Hall at 10:30a. If you would like to volunteer at the parade / ceremony please contact sylvanlakeparade@gmail.com.
