Campus Martius Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Skate – What’s more romantic than gliding along the ice hand-in-hand with your sweetheart while enjoying majestic views of the Detroit skyline? The rink will be lit up with the colors of love and feel-good ballads and classic love songs will fill the air. All couples are welcome to join this celebration of love. Tickets and skate rentals may be purchased onsite at the park and are offered on a first come, first served basis. Admission – Adults $12, Under 12 $9.

Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade – The parade will start at Main Street & Lincoln and will proceed north to Second Street The parade has been held on Memorial Day for several decades as a respectful tribute to our veterans – past and present. Festival of the Hills Fireworks Rochester Hills – NEW DATE, at Borden Park. Oakland County’s largest fireworks show returns to Borden Park in Rochester Hills. The Festival of the Hills at Borden Park starts at 6p with family games, music and live entertainment. Fireworks Hotline – 248-841-BOOM. The scaled-down event will start at a new time – 8 p.m. – and the only activities will be “The Super Mario Bros Movie” and the live entertainment on stage starting at 8 p.m. There will still be a limited number of food vendors on site.

Detroit Santa Claus Pet Photos at K-9 Pet Supplies. Detroit K-9 Pet Supplies invites you to bring your whole family – including your pets – to have pictures taken with Santa. Photos will be taken by Detroit K-9 staff and sent to attendees by text or email. Animals of all kinds are welcome at the event; dogs must be on a leash and all other animals must be in a carrier.
