Oakland County Parks FREE Admission Day – All Oakland County Parks Division Parks (see list in description). Oakland County Parks and Recreation offers complimentary park entry to all guests. Addison Oaks Park/Day Use, Highland Oaks, Independence Oaks Park, Lyon Oaks Park/Day Use, Lyon Oaks Dog Park, Orion Oaks Park/Day Use, Orion Oaks Dog Park, Red Oaks Dog Park, Rose Oaks. Visitors can enjoy free daily park entry with access to natural areas, trails, dog parks and all park amenities. Red Oaks Nature Center Homeschool Series
Red Oaks Nature Center Homeschool Series (248-585-0100) A new homeschool theme each month.
Homeschool sessions are adapted for two age groups: Ages 6-9 and ages 10-13. Cost is $10/child/session. Preregistration with payment is required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or register online. No on-site registration will be available. Sessions are designed as a drop-off program for youth. All students are welcome. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.

second Saturday in May is National Miniature Golf Day, and this year it falls on the same weekend as Mother’s Day. In honor of both holidays, Cranbrook is offering free admission to one special adult in your life on Saturday, May 11 and on Sunday May 12. To receive the complimentary ticket, please purchase all tickets for your group on-site. The last tickets will be sold 45 minutes before closing. Three ceremonies conducted by Highland VFW Post 9914. NOTE – Ceremonies are very brief. Those planning on attending should arrive at the locations well before the scheduled start times. 8a at Highland Cemetery, 8:30a at Highland Veterans Memorial Park, and 9a at West Highland Cemetery.
