Troy Historic Village Cocoa & Crafts with Santa – Spend time with Santa, make a simple holiday craft, play holiday games, and sample the sights and smells of the season. Kensington Metropark Chickadee Chow Down – at Kensington Metropark (810-227-8910, metroparks.com)
Bundle up and enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience. Around the Nature Center, a variety of winter songbirds will eagerly fly to your hand for seeds. Learn how to identify the birds you might feed, and how to properly feed songbirds in the park. Then take a short, guided walk along a mixed gravel path to meet your new feathered friends. Seed provided. Bring your camera. Lightly colored gloves or mittens are recommended for best results. This entire program is outdoors so dress warmly. Collect eggs to trade for goodies, make a craft, get your EGGSercise with a HOPstacle course, and play carnival-style games with your family. Egg collection at Spring Egg Hunt is structured, with each family collecting eggs in a designated lane. Pre-registration required at www.troyhistoricvillage.org.
