Ferndale Santa Parade
Ferndale Santa Parade takes place in Downtown Ferndale. Santa is coming to downtown. Check out Santa as he rides through downtown on a Firetruck and stops at Wilson Park at 1p, 1:30p at Geary Park, and 2p at Schiffer Park for 15 minutes at each location followed by crafts, letter writing, cookies, and s’mores from 2p to 4p at Schiffer Park. Rochester Hills MLK Day Snowfort & Campfire
Rochester Hills MLK Day Snowfort & Campfire – Come dressed for the weather and ready towork and build an igloo-style snow fort. No snow? No problem. Create a fort made from other natural materials instead. Deconstruct the fort at the end and talk a bit about “leaving no trace”. A campfire and hot chocolate will also be provided. South Lyon Daddy Daughter Dance – 3p-5p or 6p-8p (2 sessions to choose from). Open to non-residents. 70s Theme. The dance is broken down into two time slots; 3-5pm and 6-8pm. SLARA recommends that children 6 & under sign up for the first time slot. Children 7+ sign up for the 6-8pm time slot. This is only a recommendation, children 3+ are invited to both time slot. OU Cares Family Fun Day – The Oakland University Center for Autism Research (OUCARES) celebrates its annual Family Fun Day kicking off Autism Awareness month.
Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza
Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza – Each hunt is FREE and will feature three parks, with areas for younger children. The schedule is as follows – 1p – Wilson Park (For Ages 1-4 Only); 1:30p – Geary Park; 2p – Martin Road Park.
At each site, children will have the opportunity to gather as many prize-filled eggs as they can. One egg in each section contains a special golden ticket that will grant its finder with a special Easter basket. Geary Park and Martin Road Park will each have an area dedicated to younger children (ages 1-4) and older children (ages 5-11). At Martin Road Park, children and parents will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. This is a FREE event, no pre-registration is required, but please consider donating to support Ferndale P&R programming. Hosted by Ferndale Parks & Recreation. Bloomer Park Sap to Syrup Pancake Breakfast – (3 time slots available). Visit Bloomer Park and our Sugar Bush to see an old-fashioned sap-to-syrup boiling operation. We will be making syrup from trees tapped right here in Rochester Hills. Sample some real maple syrup and enjoy a pancake breakfast complete with sausage, juice and coffee.
