Oh Deer, Santa’s Here at Heritage Park. Families will get a chance to visit and get photos with Santa outdoors at the historic Red Barn in Heritage Park. Bring your camera. Seasonal craft provided. The Nature Center will be open to visitors and a warm campfire will be going outside with hot cocoa. S’more kits will be available for additional purchase for $1 each. Please dress for winter weather. Each family will have limited time with Santa. Register yourself and bring up to 5 people of your choice (adults and children). Heritage Park Snowshoe Trek
Heritage Park Snowshoe Trek – Explore the woods on snowshoes. Lesson provided and an additional charge for snowshoe rental. Special discounted rental fee of $5/pair for program participants or bring your own snowshoes. If no snow, we will walk the trails. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy boots. All ages. $5. Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll
Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll – Celebrate Valentines Day with a candle-lit hike through the trails of Heritage Park. Share your love of nature as you discover the courtship and mating behaviors of native animals. Complete the evening with a warm drink and sweet treats at the Nature Center. Ages 18+. Ferndale Daddy Daughter Dance – The dance serves as an opportunity for fathers, uncles and other paternal (and maternal) figures to show the little princesses in their lives how special they are. South Lyon Daddy Daughter Dance – 3p-5p or 6p-8p (2 sessions to choose from). Open to non-residents. 70s Theme. The dance is broken down into two time slots; 3-5pm and 6-8pm. SLARA recommends that children 6 & under sign up for the first time slot. Children 7+ sign up for the 6-8pm time slot. This is only a recommendation, children 3+ are invited to both time slot. Farmington Hills Egg Hunt Extravaganza
Farmington Hills Egg Hunt Extravaganza– at Heritage Park in Farmington Hills. Six one hour time slots begin at 10a. Hop down the bunny trail and search for eggs, stop at treat stations, and enjoy inflatables and egg painting. Rain or shine event. All ages. $9 res / $14 non res. Pre-registration required. Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza
Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza – Each hunt is FREE and will feature three parks, with areas for younger children. The schedule is as follows – 1p – Wilson Park (For Ages 1-4 Only); 1:30p – Geary Park; 2p – Martin Road Park.
At each site, children will have the opportunity to gather as many prize-filled eggs as they can. One egg in each section contains a special golden ticket that will grant its finder with a special Easter basket. Geary Park and Martin Road Park will each have an area dedicated to younger children (ages 1-4) and older children (ages 5-11). At Martin Road Park, children and parents will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. This is a FREE event, no pre-registration is required, but please consider donating to support Ferndale P&R programming. Hosted by Ferndale Parks & Recreation. South Lyon Easter Egg Scramble – 15,000 fun filled eggs. 4 fields for all age groups. Meet firefighters, police officers, and the Easter Bunny. Event is hosted by Kiwanis Club of South Lyon who recommends arrival between 11a-noon.
