Ring in New Year’s Eve at Riley Park Ice Rink. Harry Potter and the Holiday Skate, 8p costume contest, 9p ball drop for kids. At midnight, adults can celebrate with a second ball drop over the rink. Tickets are $10. The rink does not have rental skates, but there are of skates available for skaters to borrow. Hosted by the City of Farmington.

Per Oakland Twp Parks and Rec: Oakland Township’s Winter Carnival on January 27 has been cancelled due to poor field conditions. The Bear Creek Nature Park field is currently waterlogged and slushy as a result of the warming weather, snow melt, and rain.

Yoga in the Rock Garden – (5:40p registration) Experience a beautiful practice with Yoga in the Rock Garden at Meadow Brook. All levels are welcome to join these sessions, which will focus on stretching and strengthening the body to release stress and rejuvenate. The goal of yoga is simple: breathe and enjoy the moment, then the rest will follow. In cases of inclement weather, participants will be notified of any cancellations by 4p on event date.
