Bowers Farm Winter Park
Bowers Farms Winter Park – Wednesdays, 5p-9p, Thursdays 5p-9p, Fridays 4p-10p, Saturdays noon-10p, Sundays noon-9p
Skating – Weather permitting and bring your own skates. Admission is $5. Skating is FREE, skate rental is $8. Winter Park has much to offer including tubing and $17 glow tubing (appointments required), ice skating (weather permitting, bring your own skates), hot cocoa, bonfires, food at the Farmers Kitchen and more. Tubing (unfortunately) isn’t FREE (it’s actually quite expensive) and you have to pre-register which takes the starch out of a spur-of-the-moment experience.
Farmington Hills Try Hockey for FREE
Farmington Hills Try Hockey for FREE – “Try Hockey for Free” Clinics are a great way for boys and girls ages 12 and under to try out the sport of hockey without having to make the investment into equipment. There’s no experience necessary – Suburban Ice provide the instructors and the equipment for you to use. Pre-registration required to save your child’s spot here. Southfield Winter Fest – at Southfield Pavilion. Fun includes games, FREE ice skating, carriage rides, marshmallow roasting, ropes course, climbing wall, and more. Southfield Daddy Daughter Dance – Young ladies ages 2-14 and younger are invited to dress their best for this special night. Each girl will receive a special gift. Southfield Great Marshmallow Drop
Southfield Great Marshmallow Drop – 15,000 marshmallows are dropped from a helicopter. Participants then need to collect only one marshmallow that can be exchanged for a prize. There are four drop zone groups: Children ages 4 years and younger; children ages 5-7; and children ages 8-12. The drop for individuals with disabilities will begin at 11:30a.
