Bowers Farm Winter Park
Bowers Farms Winter Park – Wednesdays, 5p-9p, Thursdays 5p-9p, Fridays 4p-10p, Saturdays noon-10p, Sundays noon-9p
Skating – Weather permitting and bring your own skates. Admission is $5. Skating is FREE, skate rental is $8. Winter Park has much to offer including tubing and $17 glow tubing (appointments required), ice skating (weather permitting, bring your own skates), hot cocoa, bonfires, food at the Farmers Kitchen and more. Tubing (unfortunately) isn’t FREE (it’s actually quite expensive) and you have to pre-register which takes the starch out of a spur-of-the-moment experience.
Southfield Winter Fest
Southfield Winter Fest – at Southfield Pavilion. Fun includes games, FREE ice skating, carriage rides, marshmallow roasting, ropes course, climbing wall, and more. drawn or tractor-drawn hayride (depending on the weather) through the wooded trails around the Farm Center. 20-minute hayrides. All ages. $3 child / $5 adult. Pre-registration is not required. Tickets for weekend hayrides are sold at the Farm Center Office.

Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Dog Swim
Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Dog Swim – at Waterford Oaks County Park. All dogs owners must show valid Michigan dog license and proof of current vaccinations at the time of the event. Dogs swim by weight category. Three swims: Noon-12:50p – 70lbs plus, 1p-1:50p – 31lbs-69lbs, 2p-2:50p – 30lbs and under. Pre-registration cost is $10/dog and includes admission, contest entry, a gift for owner, and one 50-minute swim session. On-site registration is $15/dog if availability allows. To register, call 248-858-0916. Phone registrations will be accepted until noon on September 4. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.
