Sylvan Lake Easter Egg Hunt – To participate please donate a dozen plastic eggs and candy to Sylvan Lake City Hall by 4/6/23. There will be multiple hunts based on age groups. Get your child’s picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Hosted by Sylvan Lake Recreation.
Sylvan Lake Fireworks at Dusk – Displayed over Sylvan Lake. Best viewing spots along the lake closest to Downtown Sylvan Lake. Hosted by the City of Sylvan Lake.

Westland Fireworks – Blues, Brews & BBQ Fireworks at Central City Park.

Westland MLK Celebration and Remembrance Walk – The City will start with a remembrance walk to commemorate his life and legacy followed by our annual ceremony to express how Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had inspired us, what his message means to us, and to help inspire people to continue with his message and help make the world a more inclusive and righteous place for us and our children to live in. Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade
Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade – 11a (lineup) / Parade at 11:30a at Sylvan Lake City Hall and Memorial Park.
The Parade will begin at 11:30a at City Hall and end at Memorial Park with a brief ceremony. Kids are welcome to decorate their bikes and participate in the parade. Veterans that wish to participate are asked to contact Jim Smith at 248-904-9085 to be recognized at Memorial Park ceremony. Kids can begin decorating their bikes for the bike parade (with supplies provided) at City Hall at 10:30a. If you would like to volunteer at the parade / ceremony please contact sylvanlakeparade@gmail.com.
