Walk through the beautiful Burgh Historical park and enjoy the sights of Halloween. There will be trick or treating stations throughout the park. Waterford Oaks County Park FREE Platform Tennis Open House – Waterford Oaks County Park Near Paradise Peninsula Playscape. This free clinic is a opportunity to test drive the sport of platform tennis. Extra equipment available on site for first time players or those who do not have their own paddles or paddle balls. Instruction from Waterford Paddle Club. Dress for the weather. Tennis shoes required for the courts. No membership required for clinic. No pre-registration or previous experience needed. Oakland County Parks will mark the Juneteenth holiday by waiving vehicle entry fees on Monday, June 19. Oakland County Parks’ Mobile Recreation Unit will also be participating in local celebration and commemoration events honoring Juneteenth throughout Oakland County with fun, free activities such as inflatables, games, climbing towers and more.
Visitors can enjoy access to general park activities, including trails, dog parks, playgrounds, picnic areas, beaches and fishing spots from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset (unless otherwise posted).
Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Dog Swim – at Waterford Oaks County Park. All dogs owners must show valid Michigan dog license and proof of current vaccinations at the time of the event. Dogs swim by weight category. Three swims. Noon-12:50p – 70lbs plus, 1p-1:50p – 31lbs-69lbs, 2p-2:50p – 30lbs and under. Pre-registration cost is $10/dog and includes admission, contest entry and one 50-minute swim session. On-site registration is $15/dog if availability allows. To register, call 248-858-0916.
