Southfield Outdoor Movie Nights
Southfield Outdoor Movie Nights – Southfield MI will host outdoor summer movie nights under the stars as part of their Family Fun Nights hosted periodically throughout the summer.
Previous years have offered fun for the whole family featuring a Kids’ Fun Area with loads of inflatables (you MUST wear socks to participate on the inflatables!), rock climbing wall and more.
Be sure to bring your lawn chairs or a blanket to sit and enjoy the movie. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

West Bloomfield Little Hikers
West Bloomfield Little Hikers – at West Bloomfield Twp Recreation Activities Center (wbparks.org). Join our Naturalist on a nature
discovery walk. Enjoy silly songs and fun activities to keep all ages, from babies to school-aged engaged. Families can explore the Nature Room and Outdoor Natural Play Area after the hike. The trail is 0.5 miles and unpaved so only all-terrain strollers are recommended. A baby backpack/carrier is suggested for infants. The fee is per family. $3 resident / $5 non-resident. Troy Dogs Only Swim
Troy Dogs Only Swim TFAC Doggie Splash at Troy Family Aquatic Center (248-524-3484). 45 minute dogs only swim. Dogs must be 6 mos old with current dog license. $12 for Troy Dog Park Members, $15 for residents, $18 for non-residents. Tags must be worn the day of event. Aggressive dogs will not be allowed or will be asked to leave w/out refund. Dogs under 30 lbs from 10a-10:45a, 31-61 lbs from 11a-11:45a, 61 lbs plus from noon 12:45p. Must register by September 6. Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Dog Swim
Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Dog Swim – at Waterford Oaks County Park. All dogs owners must show valid Michigan dog license and proof of current vaccinations at the time of the event. Dogs swim by weight category. Three swims: Noon-12:50p – 70lbs plus, 1p-1:50p – 31lbs-69lbs, 2p-2:50p – 30lbs and under. Pre-registration cost is $10/dog and includes admission, contest entry, a gift for owner, and one 50-minute swim session. On-site registration is $15/dog if availability allows. Orion Twp Puppy Plunge
Orion Twp Puppy Plunge – Orion Twp P&R Puppy Plunge held at Great Lakes Athletic Club. After the outdoor pool closes to humans for the season, Orion Twp P&R and Great Lakes
Athletic Club will be hosting one last “furrah” for puppy friends. It’s the inaugural Puppy Plunge. Admission is $5/dog and each dog may bring up to 2 humans as free guests. To register. Hosted by www.orionparks.com.

Dog Day at the Oak Park Pool
Dog Day at the Oak Park Pool (248-691-7555) – Each registered dog receives a gift and a 55 minute dog-only swim session. Different 55 minute blocks of time per weight of dog. The owners must provide proof of current vaccinations and a dog license before the dog is allowed entry. All dogs must be at least four months old. Dogs displaying aggressive behavior will be asked to leave without refund. Register your dog and learn about cost info at 248-691-7555 and indicate your dog’s weight (under 30 lbs, 30-69 lbs, or 70 lbs plus). Hosted by Oak Park Recreation.

Southfield Free Summer Concerts
Southfield Free Summer Concerts – Southfield Gazebo Summer Concert Series, Eat to the Beat, Summer in the City, and Kids Concerts concerts are happening this summer. Southfield will be hosting the Gazebo Summer Concert series at Burgh Historical Park on Tuesday evenings from 7p-8:30p. Bring the family and enjoy the music!
You can also enjoy the Eat to the Beat summer morning concert series on select one Thursday a month at Civic Center Drive and Central Park Boulevard, and the Friday Night Concert Series at the Southfield Municipal Complex.
