Who Barks in Red Oaks Park at Red Oaks Nature Center (248-585-0100). Search for canine creatures lurking around the bends of
Friendship Woods and make a craft celebrating International Wolf Day. This program is suitable for ages 5 and up. Cost is $5/person. FREE Science Center Traveling Science Kickoff Event
FREE Science Center Traveling Science Kickoff Event at Michigan Science Center. The annual free event
takes place outside of Mi-Sci’s main entrance featuring live science demonstrations and hands-on activities. The first 250 people to arrive will receive free admission inside of Mi-Sci for a special day which includes Traveling Science activities. Registration required. Pre-register here. nature fun as they increase their love for the outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and a related hands-on activity. Each child will make a craft to take home. Birmingham Movie Nights at Booth Park – Enjoy free movie nights in Birmingham MI under the stars at Booth Park. Pre-show entertainment begins at 6:30p. The outdoor movies begin at 7:30. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and don’t forget the popcorn!

Dog Day at the Oak Park Pool
Dog Day at the Oak Park Pool (248-691-7555) – Each registered dog receives a gift and a 55 minute dog-only swim session. Different 55 minute blocks of time per weight of dog. The owners must provide proof of current vaccinations and a dog license before the dog is allowed entry. All dogs must be at least four months old. Dogs displaying aggressive behavior will be asked to leave without refund. Register your dog and learn about cost info at 248-691-7555 and indicate your dog’s weight (under 30 lbs, 30-69 lbs, or 70 lbs plus). Hosted by Oak Park Recreation.

Red Oaks Nature Center Homeschool Series (248-585-0100) A new homeschool theme each month. Homeschool sessions are adapted for two age groups: Ages 6-9 and ages 10-13.
Cost is $10/child/session. Preregistration with payment is required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or online. No on-site registration will be available. Sessions are designed as a drop-off program for youth. All students are welcome. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.
