Troy Maple Syrup Time – at Stage Nature Center. Take a guided tour through the sugar bush of the Stage Nature Center to discover how maple trees make sugar and how people have harvested it through the ages. This family-friendly program highlights natural and local history of our region. Tour includes a visit to the sugar shed to see a wood-stoked evaporator in action and activities to learn more about syrup making. Everyone will sample maple treats and children will have an opportunity to make a simple craft. Shop for Michigan-made maple syrup, cream, candy and more. Tours every 15 minutes. West Bloomfield Intro To Maple Tree Tapping – Nature Room @ Recreation Activities Center. Learn the basics
of the craft of maple tree tapping through a live demonstration and brief examination of the history. Program includes a one mile hike and a Michigan-made maple syrup tasting. This is a family program, all children and adults must register. $7 residents / $9 non-residents. Pre-register here.
