Kensington Metropark Spring Festival – (810-227-8910, metroparks.com). This two-day event centers on shearing the farm’s flock of sheep. Enjoy touring the farm and seeing our spring babies. Catch a show by Rosco the Clown. Visit the Kensington Living History Village where you can view early pioneer skills. Don’t forget to take a hayride too (standard rates apply and are purchased day of). All ages. This is a FREE event.

Kensington Metropark Fireworks – The annual fireworks display will start at dusk. The Huron-Clinton Metroparks fireworks festival, bringing together so much fun and excitement. Tens of thousands of our neighbors gather together – over picnics and under the stars – to enjoy this celebration of our American Independence. South Lyon Labor Day Bridge Walk – held by the South Lyon Area Recreation Authority in conjunction with other Walks around the state modeled after the LD Mackinac Bridge Walk.
This all-ages event will run along the Huron Valley Rail Trail and through downtown South Lyon MI. It’s is a 2.5 mile walk.
