Red Oaks Nature Center Earth Day 2021 – Restore the Earth – at Red Oaks Nature Center 248-585-0100. To celebrate Earth day, learn about restoration efforts and some simple strategies for green living. Take home a craft to help keep you thinking of going green. $5/person. Pre-registration with payment required. Call 248-858-0916 weekdays. No weekend registration. All programs will take place outdoors – under a tent, or on a trail. Dress for the weather. Masks are encouraged for Appointment-based Hikes and required for programs conducted under the tent. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.
Milford Earth Day Clean-up at Kensington Metropark metroparks.com. Volunteers will be broken into small groups and assigned to different areas of the parks, including the Kent Lake shoreline. Scouts can earn an Earth Day Fun Patch. Volunteers receive free entry into the park on the day of the program. Water and snacks will be provided. Clean-up tools and supplies will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own. Social distancing and face coverings are required. This is a FREE event. All ages. Under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required at least one day in advance at 810-227-8910.

Rochester Hills Earth Day Celebration – Local musician Guy Lewis will perform upbeat songs about the earth. Earth Day treats and games will be available. Those interested also can help plant garden beds outside the church to raise fresh produce for the Rochester Area Neighborhood House food pantry. This is a FREE event.
