Trick or Treat Along the Trail – Celebrate Halloween with fun, safe and non-scary trick-or-treating in the park for the whole family at Kensington Metropark. Follow the path of pumpkins along the festive trail to find fall-themed photo opportunities and more. Dress in your costume and bring your candy bucket to collect goodies – adults too. Stony Creek Metropark Kids Night at the Nature Center – Drop your kids off and enjoy your Friday night, kid-free. Your kids will have a blast as they meet the nature center animals, including our nocturnal opossum. They’ll get a chance to explore outside along a trail, looking for tracks in the moonlight, gazing at the growing moon, and listening for owl calls and coyote howls. Kids will warm up around our campfire and cook s’mores. Snacks will be provided. Ages 7-12. $10 per child. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 586-781-9113.
