Rochester Free Summer Concerts – Municipal Park in Downtown Rochester Michigan will be hosting free concerts on Thursday evenings as part of the Rochester Kiwanas Club of Rochester “Music in the Park” series. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy free summer concerts.

Music schedule

Refreshments will be available to purchase at the concerts. Concerts are held on the grounds of Municipal Park at the newly built Bebout Band Shell. For more information on acts, call 248-330-8966.

Come Out and Play

Come Out and Play – at Pontiac Oaks. Enjoy a day on the playground and other fun activities during the free Come Out & Play

event. During this special day, day camps and members of the public can enjoy free access to the zip line, water and non-water inflatables and the climbing tower. Children must be at least 45 pounds and 42 inches tall and wear closed-toe shoes for the zip line. A waiver form is also required. Shoes are required for the climbing tower and socks are required for the non-water inflatables. For the water inflatables, guests may want to bring a swimsuit or change of clothes. No registration is required. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.

Wet and Wild Wednesdays Rochester Hills

Wet and Wild Wednesdays Rochester Hills – Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farms hosts these, featuring the giant slip & slide and summer family fun.

The first hour featuring events and activities at the gazebo such as musical entertainment or a magician. The 2nd hour is dedicated to giant slip & slide rides and wading down by Stony Creek.

Tickets are $5 per person. Everyone aged 2+ is required to purchase a ticket for entry.

Oakland University Summer Concerts

Oakland University Summer Concerts – FREE Carillon concerts this summer on Friday evenings as part of the OU Summer Carillon Concert Series at the campus bell tower (Elliott Tower).

Guest performers are recognized international carillonneurs who will provide a wide variety of music.

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy a relaxing evening listening to the sounds of the carillon’s 49 fully-chromatic bells.

Full schedule

The FREE summer concert series features carillonneurs from around the world. The tower features a fully chromatic 49-bell carillon, which was the last carillon to have its bells and keyboard cast by the Petit and Fritsen Royal Bellfoundry in the Netherlands.

Foster Care Orientation meeting at the Ennis Center for Children are for anyone interested in learning more about how to become a licensed foster parent. The orientation is the first step towards becoming a licensed foster parent with Ennis Center for Children. Information is provided about the types of children in care, how they enter care, and the process/skills needed to become a licensed foster parent. Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 5p-7p at each local Ennis office. Virtual meetings are held via ZOOM every 3rd Tuesday of the month. For more info, www.enniscenter.org
