Lyon Township Kite Festival – Kite Fest is an annual South Lyon event that takes place at James Atchison Park in New Hudson MI every June.
Saturday from 10a-6p
Sunday from 11a-3p
Kite Festival admission is FREE / Parking is $10 per vehicle
Detroit VegFest
Detroit VegFest – The state’s largest plant-based event returns to Eastern Market for a second year with nearly 100 vendors, including popular plant-based restaurants, specialty food items, and eco-friendly shopping. Additionally, attendees can enjoy cooking demonstrations, speakers, free plant-based food samples, and fun for the kids. For more details, visit vegmichigan.org.
Wixom Summer Family Fun Nights
Wixom Summer Family Fun Nights is a series of FREE family fun events that take place in Downtown Wixom’s Sibley Park ALL SUMMER LONG.
Wixom Summer Family Fun Days at Sibley Park takes place on Thursdays from 6p-7:30p before the Wixom Summer Concerts series. Each Thursday evening will have a new, festive theme. All events are weather permitting and exact times are dependent on the event.

For ages 9+. fLipOut runs from 7:45-9:30p and includes pizza and Gatorade. Cost is $20. Must pre-register and sign a waiver.
Chandler Park Sounds of Summer
Chandler Park Sounds of Summer – This is a FREE, family-friendly performance featuring musicians from the Detroit Symphony
and some of the region’s top talent! It will be located at the old tennis courts near the NW Corner of Frankfort Street and Gray Street. Featured Artists include DSO Musicians, Lulu Fall, Ultimate Ovation, and Brandon Waddles. Hosted by https://www.dso.org/
West Bloomfield Parks Go Fish Event
West Bloomfield Parks Go Fish Event – Marshbank Park (wbparks.org)
Join WB Parks on the fishing pier located on Cass Lake to share in this great outdoor pastime. WB Parks will have staff on hand with a limited number of fishing poles provided for hands-on instruction to get you and your child started. Win a fishing themed prize if you catch the smallest or the largest fish. A simple craft and game will be available in case the fish aren’t biting. $9 resident / $11 non-resident. Orion Twp Summer Concerts – Enjoy free concerts on the hill at Wildwood Amphitheater in Orion Twp this summer on Thursdays. The Wildwood Amphitheater opened just a few summers ago and will be home to the free concerts this summer.
