Lyon Township Kite Festival – Kite Fest is an annual South Lyon event that takes place at James Atchison Park in New Hudson MI every June.
Saturday from 10a-6p
Sunday from 11a-3p
Kite Festival admission is FREE / Parking is $10 per vehicle
West Bloomfield Parks National Trails Day
West Bloomfield Parks National Trails Day – Walnut Creek Middle School. Meet and park at Walnut Creek
Middle School for a walk along our scenic and historic rail-to-trail network ending at Sylvan Manor Park. There will be naturalist on the trail to answer all of your questions or discuss what you discovered along the way. Free shirts are passed out between 8a-8:30a at a first come, first served basis while supplies last. This is a FREE event. No pre-registration required. Hosted by WB Parks.

West Bloomfield Parks Go Fish Event – Marshbank Park (wbparks.org)
Join WB Parks on the fishing pier located on Cass Lake to share in this great outdoor pastime. WB Parks will have staff on hand with a limited number of fishing poles provided for hands-on instruction to get you and your child started. Win a fishing themed prize if you catch the smallest or the largest fish. A simple craft and game will be available in case the fish aren’t biting. $9 resident / $11 non-resident. Berkley Summer Outdoor Movie Night
Berkley Summer Outdoor Movie Night – Berkley, Michigan Parks and Rec is holding Free Summer Outdoor Movie Night at Community Park (next to the Berkley Community Center). They are also hosting another outdoor movie on the Berkley Community Center Lawn. The movies start at dusk but the fun starts at 6p. Often there is plenty of entertainment for the kids at these events. Often there have been inflatables and concessions stands before the movie starts. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy! This movie is part of Berkley Parks and Rec’s Summer Fest. Summer Fest a series of fun events for people of all ages that reside in Berkley.
