Kensington Metropark Fireworks – The annual fireworks display will start at dusk. The Huron-Clinton Metroparks fireworks festival, bringing together so much fun and excitement. Tens of thousands of our neighbors gather together – over picnics and under the stars – to enjoy this celebration of our American Independence. A Metroparks vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. Vehicle permits are on sale NOW. You can pick one up at metroparks.com OR visit your local Metropark today. White Lake Winter Carnival – WLCL – at White Lake Inn (248-887-1818). Hosted by the White Lake Citizens League Winter Carnival. The annual winter festival has fireworks, a broomball tournament, kids activities, and more. More info…schedule of events.
Troy Community Center Trivia Night – Gather your team for a Friday night of friendly trivia competition. Registration fee includes dinner (pizza, breadsticks, salad), refreshments, and two games of trivia play. Prizes awarded to winning teams. Indian Springs Metropark Earth Day Camp – Day camp for kids will cover the basics of reduce, reuse, recycle. Campers will learn to be more conscious visitors in the parks and in nature. Enjoy lots of fun projects and crafts. Please bring a lunch and wear clothes that can get messy. Ages 7+. $40 per person. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 248-625-7280. MetroBarks Dog Walking Club at Indian Springs Metropark – Prepare to walk between one to three miles along our paved trail, with stops along the way for your pups to sniff, explore and rest. Dogs are required to remain on a 6-foot leash. Please be prepared to clean up your pet’s waste. If your dog is having a bad day or displaying aggressive behaviors, you may be asked to leave the program early. Ages 8+. $3 per child / $5 per adult. Greenfield Village Fireworks – Greenfield Village Salute to America Fireworks. Concert concludes with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture featuring the historic cannon of Loomis Battery. Fireworks display accompanied by live patriotic music to immediately follow.
