Southfield Touch-a-Truck – Sensory sensitive hour is from 1p-2p (reduced lighting and sound). Big trucks little trucks, emergency vehicles, demonstrations, drones, and more. Hosed by the City of Southfield.
Hazel Park Healing Hearts Mom to Mom Sale – $3 admission. Sale is 10-2 for the general public and 9-3 for sellers. The cost is $5 from 10-11 and $3 thereafter. If you are looking to buy or sell new or gently used baby and children clothing, maternity clothing, toys, nursery furniture, books, bikes, and anything else that is baby, child, or maternity related, this event is for you. This is the perfect Spring cleaning option for those who are selling, and the perfect seasonal stock-up stop for those who are buying! This event is also handicap accessible and stroller friendly. Southfield Free Summer Concerts – Southfield Gazebo Summer Concert Series, Eat to the Beat, Summer in the City, and Kids Concerts concerts are happening this summer. Southfield will be hosting the Gazebo Summer Concert series at Burgh Historical Park on Tuesday evenings from 7p-8:30p. Bring the family and enjoy the music!
You can also enjoy the Eat to the Beat summer morning concert series on select one Thursday a month at Civic Center Drive and Central Park Boulevard, and the Friday Night Concert Series at the Southfield Municipal Complex.

Come Out & Play – at Catalpa Oaks County Park . Enjoy a day on the playground and other fun activities during the free Come Out and Play event. During these special days, day camps and members of the public can have fun on the zipline, water and non-water inflatables and the climbing tower for free. Children must be at least 45 pounds and 42 inches tall and wear closed-toe shoes for the zipline. A waiver form (click HERE) is also required. Shoes are required for the climbing tower and socks are needed for the non-water inflatables. For the water inflatables, guests may want to bring a swimsuit or change of clothes. Southfield Outdoor Movie Nights – Southfield MI will host outdoor summer movie nights under the stars as part of their Family Fun Nights hosted periodically throughout the summer.
Previous years have offered fun for the whole family featuring a Kids’ Fun Area with loads of inflatables (you MUST wear socks to participate on the inflatables!), rock climbing wall and more.
Be sure to bring your lawn chairs or a blanket to sit and enjoy the movie. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Downtown Milford 4th of July Parade – Downtown Milford. Due to road closures, this year’s event will take a new scenic route. The parade will begin at 11a on Cabinet Street and will proceed east on Commerce Street to Main Street. Then, will head south on Main Street to end at the entrance of Central Park. For the best parade view, set up a seat along the stretch of Commerce Street from Cabinet to Main Street. You can expect to see proud veterans, color guards, marching bands and more proudly make their way through the route while the community cheers them on. Hosted by Downtown Milford and the Milford Historical Society.
