Oakland County Parks will mark the Juneteenth holiday by waiving vehicle entry fees on Monday, June 19. Oakland County Parks’ Mobile Recreation Unit will also be participating in local celebration and commemoration events honoring Juneteenth throughout Oakland County with fun, free activities such as inflatables, games, climbing towers and more.
Visitors can enjoy access to general park activities, including trails, dog parks, playgrounds, picnic areas, beaches and fishing spots from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset (unless otherwise posted).

Motown Museum Job Fair
Motown Museum Job Fair at the Motown Museum Hitsville. The museum has several positions to fill – now is your chance to learn about them and meet the Motown Museum team. You have the opportunity to land the perfect summer or permanent job – being surrounded by the inspirational space where so many greats like Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross and countless others got their story started. Positions available include roles in administration, retail, guest services, programming and education, and archive and collection management. to pick the right maple tree, then watch how maple trees are tapped and sap is collected. Stop by the French and Native American camps to hear and see how these techniques have changed through the years. Then visit the Sugar Shack to see and smell the sap being boiled down into maple sugar. Real maple sugar products will be available for purchase. All ages. $3 per child / Adults $5. Troy Maple Syrup Time – at Stage Nature Center. Take a guided tour through the sugar bush of the Stage Nature Center to discover how maple trees make sugar and how people have harvested it through the ages. This family-friendly program highlights natural and local history of our region. Tour includes a visit to the sugar shed to see a wood-stoked evaporator in action and activities to learn more about syrup making. Everyone will sample maple treats and children will have an opportunity to make a simple craft. Shop for Michigan-made maple syrup, cream, candy and more. Tours every 15 minutes.
