Clarkston Fishing Derby at Independence Oaks County Park (248-625-6473). Anglers of all ages are invited to test their skills, reel in their best catch and enjoy a morning by the

water. Whether you’re a seasoned fisherman or trying it for the first time, this friendly competition offers prizes, outdoor fun and a lake experience like no other. Bring your gear and enthusiasm for a day of community, excitement and great catches. Sessions are limited to 20 participants each. Cost is $10/person. Fishing licenses are required for all participants age 17+. Preregistration is required by calling 248-858-0916 during business hours. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.
